LIIFT More is Beachbody’s newest strength training that just released in Summer 2022 and it’s an incredible option to not just reach those goals, but to SURPASS them and show yourself that you CAN!

Here’s what you need to know when considering taking on this program when you already live a super busy life.

What are the workouts like in LIIFT More?

LIIFT More is a traditional strength training program and the sequel to one of the most popular Beachbody programs of all time, LIIFT 4.

This program is for anyone who wants to efficiently build muscle with little time! The moves are foundational, basic strength moves, making it a suitable program for all fitness levels.

LIIFT More is considered an intermediate/advanced workout program in the Beachbody on Demand library. However, due to the foundational and basic movement patterns of the strength moves & focus on correct form, anyone interested in strength training can do LIIFT More. As with all of our fitness programs, there is always a cast member on screen doing modified versions of the exercises, so if lifting is new for you: this is the person to follow! Joel encourages you to go at your own pace and choose weights that are appropriate for YOUR fitness level all along the way 🥰

LIIFT More Program Details

Here’s the breakdown:

  • 5 strength training workouts/week, 2 rest days (5 days is my personal sweet spot!)
  • 35–45 minutes per LIIFT More workout
  • 8 weeks long with 2 phases:
    • Phase 1 alternates traditional weightlifting days with lift + HIIT days to help you build strength and lean muscle while burning fat
    • Phase 2 follows a similar format, but Joel changes it up with new training splits, more volume, and more intensity
  • No workout repeats – all 40 are unique so you’ll never be bored & continue to be challenged!
  • HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) component in approximately half the workouts
  • Abs-focused finisher at the end of every workout to shred and strengthen your core

Is the adjustable bench required to do LIIFT MORE?

Yes, the adjustable bench is required for this program. The program was designed with a bench to make the moves more effective, up the intensity, reduce momentum, and ensure you can push with weights. You’ll want it for this program and beyond as it’s a staple and a good investment for your home gym!

You’ll want it to reach 90 degrees, 45 degrees and lay flat.

Here’s a suggestion for one on Amazon that I see plenty of people buying. It’s foldable for easy storage so if space is an issue, something like this could work!

Ask around! A friend may have one you could borrow or you may be able to find a used one on Facebook Marketplace or Craig’s List.
